有Ess 2838 Winmodem断线死机的处理方法:
在Mandrake8.2下安装了RH7.2的核心，重新启动后再按照安装ess modem的操作，步骤如下：
1) rpm -ivh -nodeps -force redhat-2.4.7-10.rpm
2) cd /boot
3) mkinitrd essmodem.img 2.4.7-10
4) vi lilo.conf
5) lilo
6) reboot
7) cd /root/tmp/essmodem
8) sh Fixscript17 ess.o esscom.o
9) sh install
10)startx
11)open Mandrake Network Monitor and create a new connect, then open Mozilla browser!
12)close the internet connection!
断线以后根本没有死机，一切正常！ |
